Description
Description "H2Omtap4000 antibacterial terminal water filter for taps"
Intended use
The terminal membrane filters are specially designed to protect consumers from all waterborne pathogens. This is achieved through validated sterile filtration, which leaves the chemical composition of the water unchanged. It is used to prevent nosocomial infections caused by waterborne germs such as Legionella pneumophila, Pseudomona, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella or other pathogens that are common in facilities such as hospitals, nursing homes, sports facilities, residential facilities and low or high risk day care centres.
Properties
The housing of the terminal sterile filter, which has been treated, inhibits the development of bacteria and the risk of retrograde contamination, whether through splashing water or direct contact. The flow rate remains constant and at a high level over a period of 92 days. Installation is quick and easy using a quick-release fastener or thread. The H2Ower 4500 has a standard thread (1/2"), allowing it to be fitted directly to the shower hose without additional accessories.
Which adapter do I need for my tap?
Suitable adapters for the common M22 and M24 connection sizes are available for installing our terminal water filters on a tap. The adapter required depends on the existing thread at the outlet of your tap.
M22 female thread (IG)
If your tap has an M22 male thread at the outlet, you will need the M22 IG adapter (female thread). The adapter is screwed onto the existing male thread of the tap.
M24 male thread (AG)
If your tap has an M24 female thread at the outlet, you will need the M24 AG adapter (male thread). The adapter is screwed into the existing female thread of the tap.
Simple guide
- Male thread on the tap → Adapter with female thread (M22 IG)
- Female thread on the tap → Adapter with male thread (M24 AG)
Please check the existing thread on your tap before ordering. In most cases, the existing aerator can be unscrewed to check the connection.
Note for showers: No M22 or M24 adapter is required for showers. The H2Ower 4500 has a standard thread (1/2") and can be connected directly to the shower hose.
Frequently asked questions
They filter out a large proportion of germs and particles from the water and can be used in emergencies, for example, in the event of a pipe network contaminated with bacteria. This ensures that consumers (taps, showers) can continue to be supplied with water.
The filter serves as a preventive hygiene measure against waterborne pathogens such as Legionella pneumophila, Pseudomonas, staphylococci and Klebsiella.
The filters must be replaced after 92 days at the latest. Otherwise, there is a risk of contamination or the filter becoming clogged and losing performance.
Adapters are available for the filters for the common sanitary connection sizes M22 and M24. The adapters are also available in the same shop area as the filters.
There is also a filter that can be used as a replacement for an existing shower head. Shower heads in particular pose a considerable health risk due to the turbulence caused by air in connection with Legionella bacteria.
The filters can be used in many different buildings.
They can be used in private single-family or multi-family homes as well as in public buildings such as hospitals, retirement homes or larger office buildings.
